The cost of generating electricity through solar rooftop is less as compared to the grid. Electricity generated from solar rooftops is expected to be more economically viable considering that the cost of electricity may increase in the future. Executive Director And CEO of IDCOL Alamgir Morshed and Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam participated in the event in their presence. The Bangladesh government has set a target of generating 4,200 MW of electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030. Alamgir Morshed, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, IDCOL said, – Under the Renewable Energy Project, IDCOL not only provides low-cost financing to various industrial establishments, but also provides technical assistance, purchase of quality equipment and capacity building to the industrial establishments, which is very important for the development of this sector. .
